About
The Wolcott Barber Shop is a start-up business in downtown Wolcott, NY. The owner wanted their shop to have a vintage, traditional feel. He also wanted it to be straight-forward and easily understood that this was a barber shop at first glance.
To accomplish this, I kept the logo simple with scissors and a traditional straight-edge razor and emphasized the text, making sure 'Barber Shop' was the most prominant element. I created type inspired by vintage signs and used a more muted blue & red color palette to further enhance the vintage style.
